RubyGems can't find bundle executable although Bundler is installed

I had this error:

> gem install bundler
Successfully installed bundler-2.0.1
1 gem installed

> bundle install

The cause was that Bundler 2 requires RubyGems 3.0+ to function and I was running RubyGems 2.

To update to the latest RubyGems use:

gem update --system
