This happens when your Mass Effect 2 character actually originated in Mass Effect 1.
- Go to
Mass Effect Tools
Show archive.org snapshot
- Follow the insanely convoluted instructions (it involves signing up at another web site).
- You should end up with a list of the customization options you chose and a "face code" like in the attached PDF.
- Create a new character in Mass Effect 3.
- Enter the face code you got from the Mass Effect Tools.
- Manually change the settings that couldn't be exported from Mass Effect Tools (they were marked with **** in the output). This is the hairstyle, colors and makeup options.
Note that instead of creating a new character you can also change an existing Mass Effect 3 character's face.
