Max Swahn studied abroad in Florence, Italy during his junior year at The University of Pittsburgh. He was able to participate not only in engineering related activities, but was also fortunate to experience the incredible art and architecture of the country. One of the highlights that brought both worlds together was climbing inside the Dome portion of The Duomo di Firenze and seeing first-hand how this incredible architectural feat was accomplished.
