Updated: Don't use the || operator to set defaults

Added shortcuts to set defaults when you are using Babel or CoffeeScript:

ES-next with Babel

There is a stage 3 proposal for the "nullish coalscing" syntax:

x = x ?? 'default-value'

If you are using Babel, you can transpile this syntax into ES5 using the @babel/plugin-proposal-nullish-coalescing-operator package.

With CoffeeScript

CoffeeScript lets you write:

x ?= 'default-value'

Does your version of Ruby on Rails still receive security updates?
Rails LTS provides security patches for old versions of Ruby on Rails (3.2 and 2.3).
